No matter how many trading systems and methods we use, we ultimately have to make decisions about which trades to take. The more trading strategies, signals, indicators and tools we have, the more decisions we have to make. The more decisions we have to make, the greater the odds of picking bad trades. If we pick and choose without a set of defined criteria, then in most cases we will pick and choose incorrectly. At best it's frustrating. At worst it loses money and undermines confidence.

HERE'S WHAT A GREAT TRADE LOOKS LIKE.
BUT HOW DID I FIND IT BEFORE IT HAPPENED?
Finding this trade before it happened was easy. In fact it was so easy the computer found it for me. But as you know the computer can only find what you have told it to look for. It's the old "garbage in - garbage out." I found this trade by using the correct scan procedure which contains the correct search features which were programmed very easily.
How did I know it would be a great trade? I didn't. When it started I assumed it would be a good trade. It only became a great trade by application of strict profit management and maximization rules. If you are plagued by indecision or overwhelmed by your list of choices, then no matter how good your computer might be you did not likely take advantage of this opportunity for a variety of excuses.
BUT HOW DO WE FIX INDECISION?
One of the most frustrating things a trader can experience is to be frozen by Indecision because there are so many decisions to make. In order to stop making decisions based on intuition, opinion, and/or emotions, you must have and use a set of established, specific, rule-based, procedure-based methodologies.
The vast amount of knowledge that I've accumulated in nearly a half-century of trading is a blessing as well as a curse. Unless I had a clear and definitive procedure for finding great trades, I would be a slave to my knowledge rather than the master of my knowledge. And that's no good.
